The teensy lc should have analog in and PWM out (if i can trust the info in found here: https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/teensyLC.html)
so it should be possible to intergrate the PWM code you have for your arduino, into the teency code that handles the button presses....

or am i wrong? :P

The other screen you mentioned (https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Raspberr ... 62038.html) doesn't fit into a Game Boy DMG case.
Also the keys to setup the screen are on the side making them impossible to press without modifying the case.

Your link for 'Gameboy DMG button PCB' leads to the case. ;)
