hey guys i finally finished my GBZ i go into the build in this video

https://youtu.be/5Lx5kj6I62Y

some things i didn't mention

i made the screen by shaving down the cover that came with backup monitor i used for the screen

i used the kitchbent common ground pcb for the buttons rather than make my own solution

i used wermys 3d printed bracket for the screw holes in the back

everything else for the most part follows wermys og build guide, but i opted to use the GPO pins for the controls rather than buying a teensy

i had a hell of a time with my sound, it turns out that i forgot to ground the amp, once i grounded that and the lowpass filter to the power pcb i made it sounded much better

still having trouble with wifi not through a powered usb hub,

Huge thanks to Wermy for posting these guides and the rest of the forum community it feels amazing to finish a project like this after a year of tinkering and trouble shooting

i have a few other projects on the go right now also, i will post those once they are finished

You'd better hit the punks in the streets instead of trying to escape them hahahaha ;)

Nice work. You have a slight misalignment of the screen cover on the bottom right angle (the round actually rounded lol)

cheers YaYa, i ordred a gorilla glass gbz screen cover for the project as well as potentiometer and a legit game boy speaker. when i was filing down my screen protector from the car screen i took a bit to much off the corner, i also scratched it up a few times when i zoned out. since then i have bought a rotary tool so i shouldn't be screwing it up. my screen is a crooked by a few degrees also, but i can live with that
