Dude, that is some in-depth tinkering! Thanks for sharing! Have you got a performance log before and after? It'd be amazing to see the difference that your administering has made! It'd be great to get this up as an image, could that work?

I'm trying to log the performance changes but some tweaks are hard to quantify like cpu and ram usage... i would need a permanent logging of toph, but all that i know, since my first computer in 1992, is that the less stuff you have running, the better it is.
So you wonder if those modifications are good for the Pi ? Yes lol, even not noticeable, the little bits saved is better for such a device.
As for the power efficiency, i've already posted a picture, 2 hours of playing snes, megadrive and neogeo did only draw 852mAh
That means that with my 4800mAh battery, i'll be able to play around 11 before charging This test was done with an overclocked Pi Zero hahahaha... without overclocking should drop significantly
But this test was before some other tweaks i've made so the power efficiency should even be better !
I'm trying also to keep a track of SD I/O to see how much writes we saves with these tweaks

As for adding all those things to a premade image... i have no idea where to start but from what i know from linux, yes we can lol

The cartridge, as always, no glue
This one was a try. I'm not satisfied by the result...
The cutout on the side is ugly because the pastique was so old that it was like dry sand as i was milling into it.
I've putted the LEDS too close to the shell and thus, i had to grind the font cover to let room for the first led.
The soldering is awful as i was using my old and not adjustable iron for this job (i was waiting for my kit from amazon)
I'm next going to try another thing... Transparent orange cartridge from Kitsch Bent with the snap off leds board from Kite's SAIO. This will give me a clean result and tiny beautiful LEDS.
You wonder why this as i have everything on the board yet ? Just for the challenge and the fun
I also forgot to mention that Wifi/Power/Status have a common ground and Charge is independant.
You can see on my wiring that the frist 3 mentionned led have the groung leg soldered together. This allows you to free up some pads from Prs-Tech’s SD card reader

Total consumption : 524mAh
This is really good.
I am really satisfied with the result.
So i can say that my play time will be between 11 hours and 9 hours
If i take in count the battery effciency (which i cannot test for now) i should expect playtime of about 8 hours at full load.
