Hi,

i had problems fitting the MPI3508 screen too. I written something about this display in: https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic ... 242#p51467 (power usage fix for +25% battery runtime is included).
Conclusion: You have to cut the white plastic on the side with the ribbon cable too, to make it fit.
I would recommend the following procedure: Remove the metal backside, then remove a mm or two of the white plastic on the ribbon side (the side with the backlight leds).
BUT: Be careful, dont bend the ribbon cable too much, dont cut into it.
And dont apply pressure, when you insert this into the case, or you have to repair it: https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=4831.

Hi,
i had some back luck with the arduino leonardos. I killed the first one by shorting wires to GND (probing with a multimeter). On the second one the usb port lifted up, so I am currently using the third one :-)

I have now switched to UART communication between the Arduino and the Raspberry to communicate the battery voltage, calibrate the ADC and get the special button states.

About audio diagram...why R input (unused) is grounded?There'is a technical reason?

Hi, i am only using the LEFT channel of the amp, because I use a mono speaker.
The RIGHT amp channel is grounded to reduce noise.

I saw a member in an other thread with a very interesting solution. He uses the potenziometer between the screen and the headphone jack. So you will have a mechanial loudness trimmer, better than my software idea.

I like your solution.
I don't know why most people can live with mono audio and so lost part of music and sound effect.
(Original game boy is stereo and even if has only one speaker,it's output sound is the sum of L and R without losses)

My setup is: USB SOUND CARD>POTENTIOMETER>HEADPHONE JACK(Stereo)>SPEAKER(with L and R mixed toghether without resistors like Wermy's mintypi build)
Audio is very clear,volume level on headphone is excellent and volume level on speaker is acceptable.

In the past I tried to add a PAM8403 amplifier before speaker but sound was very loud and distorted.Maybe because input on ampli was too high!
Now I have to try to add the amplifier and adding resistors to mix L and R and then connect R input to ground like your build!
