Yes, pretty sure. I'm using 22 AWG wire throughout, which is generally not a problem, but for parts of the build I've wired two components with a single wire, which I think is the problem. I'm using a powerboost 1000, so I don't think it isn't supplying enough.

The gameboy gods decided I'm not allowed to be happy, so several parts of build are failing. So far...
-The pro micro gets power, but is not recognized. It is when plugged into the usb port, but not when hooked up with data wires. I replaced the little micro usb adapter with a cut up usb cable, but I now think its the data wires. I will remove the pins from the stripped ports on the pi and solder directly there.
-The USB audio... I don't even know. It just isn't working. I'll fix the data wires and if that doesn't work, I'll use direct audio from the pi and an amp.
-The joystick x-axis isn't showing up. I'll double check connections and resolder.
-The micro USB on the powerboost was originally going to also be the charging port, but I cant get it to stick. That's fine, but I've lost my micro usb breakout. I'll either find it or remove the lip from the metal back and use VHB tape
That's everything right now! I'll post later with if these work.

Oh la la... you need to check your soldering tools, it all seems to be soldering related isn’t it ?

Fixed some problems! It turns out I had accidentally reflashed the pro micro, and I did it wrong. It also turned out the USB audio power wire was connected wrong. I'll have to work on it after Thanksgiving. More updates then!

Sorry it's been so long since updating, I've been working on some other stuff. I'm done with it now, so I'll be able to update later this week.
I think I've found a solution to my arduino problems.

Hey Bug :)
I am currently trying to build something Similiar to your Build and I hope you can help me with a Problem I am currently facing :/
I am using a Pro Micro as Controller ( same as you ) with one Psp1000-Analog Stick.
I am trying to use Sota's .Ino Code ( viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1766 )
However I am facing the Problem, that only One Axis is recognized, which is altering the Values for both axis.
I found a Code snipped which allowed me to use the stick as wished, however the centering sucked.

May you show me the Code you used to get your System working ?

Hey,
I would try
-Making sure you have the right number of analog sticks
-making sure you're using the right version of arduino
-making sure your wiring on the psp joystick is right
Hope this helps!

So you followed the same guide ??
- Variable is set to 1 and mapping to A0 and A2
- tryed 1.0.5r2 in Windows, and latest IDE in both Linux and Windows
- The Wiring is right ( did some measuring )

:-(

Hey, I'm stopping this build for a while. Not sure if it's indefinite or not, but I made some choices with this build I wouldn't make again, and if I resume this build I'll definitely make some big changes. Thanks for reading.
