Build update:
I had some problems with the brass inserts in the screen bracket, they got ripped out.
So I changed the design and Im using brass nuts now with size M2. Works much better.
Added some stickers from YaYa, looks great!
Also I have covered all the LEDs on the board with black nail polish so they dont shine through the case, it works.
Only the status light on the top are still a little bright, but right no I have no idea how to improve this.
I have also tried to blacken the indented letters with the nail polish but it didn come out so good.
Anybody other ideas how to color the letters?
I spend alot of time for the software part, this side is finished so far. Still alot of questions though....
Next steps:
Install the Gorilla Glass
Wire the Cartreader to the SD-Reader
My first build, SAIO, 3D Printed Shell
Re: My first build, SAIO, 3D Printed Shell
Im working on the Cartreader.
The idea is to have a solution that is easy to remove when separation the two halfs.
So I went for a flat ribbon SD-Card extension.
One end goes into the SD-Card reader of the pi, the other end is wired to the Cartreader.
Since my printed shell does not have the opening for kites SD-Card I cannot used this one as there would be interference with the case right now.
I have desoldered the SD-Card holder and soldered the wires to the contact pads.
Then I checked the contacts from the PRS-Tech Cartreader Board to the Cartreader.
Here is where Im confused: I found each contact of the SD-Card on the contact pads in the Cartridge, expect pin No.6.
There is no connection with the beep but at the same pin as pin no.4 there is a change of resistance.
Any support how to wire the whole thing up?
Which Pin of the SD-Card reader is connected to which pad on the back of the pi?

Neat build! This diagram might be able to help you with the cart reader, I made it when I built mine (which uses a micro sd breakout board) to keep the halves separable
