Got the teensy soldered to the controller board today. Now I just need to program it!

Decided to sand the whole case and buttons with a red scotch bright pad. All the shiny plastic is now a nice clean matte finish.

Finally got a lot of needed parts in the mail. Ended up buying multiple of everything just in case I mess something up. I'm using one of the back up camera screens and upon dismantling it the front metal bezel pulled off and I was upset at first but I ended up just using some electrical tape to secure it to the back of the screen. Should hold up better then painting it since I'm not planning on using a screen protector because I like the matte look of the screen with out one.

Got the screen mounted and did a mock up of the board placements. Still waiting for a few more things in the mail so I'm holding off on the wiring.

I get a kick out of your buttons. For some reason, they remind me of Harley Quinn.

Haha thanks. They're all factory game boy buttons. The black ones are from a clear play it loud case.

Got the USB port and the micro USB charging port installed. I was able to modify the orginal extension port cover to work with the new USB port.
