Thank you. that is one of the good thing about preorders. I gives you time to do the things the right way and think about it before acting.

And wait for the parts to arrive :D

I'm in the same preorder, and I'm nowhere nearly as advanced in my prep as you... then again, maybe I'm further along than I think... I'm just collecting the bits and pieces at this stage...

once kite started teasing the new batch, i've started investigating what was needed and what were the options. i've ordered all the parts right after Kite opened the pre orders. (on valentine's day i think). i got almost everything within a month or so.

And i spend way too much time on this forum :D

I’m right there with you! Doing all modifications I can until the board comes in. It’s my first build. May/June can’t come soon enough :)

At least your posting on the forum lol I'm just sitting here pretending to click invisible buttons and play games on my absent screen. Looks good! I might post once I get everything put together. It's going to look a lot like the pic you posted of the 6 button GBZ.

I had my three kids home for school holidays recently. (5,5,2yo). Loved the family time, but this project got put on the back burner all that time...

I've added the brass inserts in the front shell posts.

It should help if i need to open/close the case several times. also i like the look of the M2 bolts more than trandard screws. it look more professional.

Nice. Did you order those screws and inserts online?

They don’t have anything that small and my local home improvement store.

yes aliexpress. M2 bolts and nuts, and 2x2x3,5 brass inserts. but drilling the pillars is tricky. i did on by hand and i was fine. i did the other one with the dremel, and the thin part left of the pillar melted a little.

at first i wanted to do every pillar, even the one keeping kite's cos in place, but it's too much stress for me. those 2 are fine :D
