First Build (In Progress)
First Build (In Progress)
About to start working on my first GBZ, and first ever time using a Rasberry Pi. Thought I might as well start up a build log as I know some other people may feel as lost as I did without being able to use a too impressive of a board. Also shoutout to VeteranGamer for the idea of using actual SFC/SNES Buttons for the build. Sorry for the uncreativity as this will be another SFC build.

I know a lot of this may be redundant from Wermy's guide... But I've been having trouble finding parts myself, and I hope this may help someone out who was going through the same thing I was. I hope to be around, and help out however I can, though in the mean time I've still got plenty of learning to do myself. Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: First Build
Kornmeal,
Thanks for posting this parts list. I have been looking for parts and was having difficulty locating an AIO PCB. I contacted Helder regarding this via these forums and he just sent me a reply stating not to ask him for parts...
I would like to use this AIO PCB, but not sure if I want to pay money for something that Helder will benefit from when he doesn't seem willing to help..
Kite makes an AIO board that incorporates almost everything, but I am still looking where to purchase it.
Thanks again.

Re: First Build
I wouldn’t be so quick to judge Helder... he has done a LOT for this community if you look around. My assumption is that he gets so many questions about part availability, and his time is going towards V3 of the Minty Pi.... Also, I may not have my timeline correct, but I’m fairly sure he really helped getting AIO boards popular.pimodes wrote: ↑Wed Mar 07, 2018 3:41 pmKornmeal,

Re: First Build
Pimodes, below is a link to be kept informed when a new preorder round opens for Kite's circuit sword:

Unfortunately, if you just joined us on these forums, you probably missed the cut off for round 5. Worry not, there will be a round 6. In the meantime, read, learn, soak it all up.

Yes i just missed the cutoff. Kornmeal was right, not gunna judge Helder too much. I found his board at retrogamingnow.com. Im gunna go through them to get it.

Re: First Build
The safe shut down switch is in there =) also I almost used your boards! The only thing is that I knew I could feel comfortable with my build if I used this because of the video of Wermy’s build and the PCB’s being so similar. If the AIO 2.2 boards hadn’t come back in stock on this side I was gonna use your 2.2
