No reason to get a new case if you don't want to. I've used a few original gameboy shells. I just bought some aftermarket shells to put the original gameboy internals back into so I could still have some working gameboys.

Also for the screen I also recommend the geatbest one. Shipping had a free option to Canada, but I paid 2.50 for faster shipping. I've used 3 screens from them. One needed a 5v mod, two did not. If you check my signature you can see pics. My third build shows the screen with no mods. My second shows it with a 5v mod. The driver boards were slightly different.

Hey Kerel, ik ga je projectje volgen  (hey dude i will follow your project)
Voor het geval je het niet wist, veel retrofreaks zijn er fel op tegen als je een oude DMG1 sloopt voor de behuizing, liever zien ze een DMG1 gerepareerd en in omloop blijvend
(in case you didn't know lot of retrofreaks don't like it if you sacrifice a DMG1 instead make it back in it's glory to keep the spirit alive)
Ben benieuwd wat dit gaat worden, succes (i'm curious how your project turns out)

Greets
