Hi guys,
I wanted to share with you the issue I have with a PRS-Tech Cartboard that goes inside the game cartridge. I cannot get the raspberry pi to turn on when using it. On the other hand, however when using a hand made cartridge with the SD adaptor it works fine. So much effort to get the cartridge reader working but finally got it working
Currently when wiring the reader goes into PP1 3.3v (the square PP input in the GPIO) not sure if the PRS cartridge needs a higher voltage perhaps.
Just thought dropping a line to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue.
Many thanks.

Re: PRS-Tech Cartboard not working
Your wires are probably too long when you use PRS's board. Make sure to twist as well the data lines. Shielding the wires helps sometimes as well.

Re: PRS-Tech Cartboard not working
Thanks for the links. I shall try to shorten the wires as well as twisting and shielding. Currently the home made cartridge works as it is with the shielding (that's why it's covered with electric tape in the picture above).

Super. Most importantly, let us know if it worked. And if so, add [SOLVED] to the title.

Well it's foil paper underneath the insulated tape. The same foil paper I use for baking
