your not stupid....

you havent looked in the correct places (or used the search function)
(sometimes its easier to be spoon fed, than to find ways to actually pick up the spoon yourself)

search in these places....
(i could have just given the links, but this support section is already full of the same links)

GPIO

Screen
(not really sure what you mean by readable)

happy searching (its out there)

for most 3.5" screens the terminal text will not be super legible, you can increase the font size if you choose. Doing something like this:

https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2014/ ... font-size/

Terminal font size if not really critical, especially if you do most terminal work over SSH, which most people do.

You can also change the theme as well to help, the default retropie theme is not perfect for 3.5" screens., I always use RxBrad light theme, you can find this in the retropie menu, there should be a themes option. This one was designed specifically for 3.5" screens and is great.

One other thing of note, I found that if you ground the screen beside the TV signal pi it helps reduce interference and makes the screens look slightly nicer.

This is the wiring guide I follow for GPIO:

https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=57

But I always install the updated retrogame script from adafruit (the one in the sudomod link is dated):

https://learn.adafruit.com/retro-gaming ... s-software

your not gonna believe me when i say this.....
but if you search, you'll find it.... ;)

NB: it wasn't a picture of you per say, its in general....
all the info you need to build, is already in this forum
most (if not everything, except for unknown BW screens) things have already been ask for
and most importantly most of those have been answer....

and surprisingly a countless amount of times
(using that search is a wonder..... and you'll also find old baby pics as well)

good luck in your build
