but as critical as i can be, i really don't like these screws poking out on the sides that really ruins it imo.
I would use different screws and ''sunk them'' in there.
I kind of like it! I mean the thing doesnt look like a GB anymore with all the USB and LAN ports sticking out anyways. So why not go full Frankenstein and add screws to the head? :D

Makes the thing even more tinkerish! Yummy!

Nooo :P man i mean.. you got such a kit and then when it comes to the finishing touch screws are sticking out the side lol.
But in frankenstein terms, yea i can't disagree lol.. but you can get (if you use a white or black case) some plastic screws that are like this \ /
So, you can turn them in nice and flat if you use a sinker for that, but hey, you could glue some corks on there too lol, and make it toxic green case and glue some red hair on it, haha

Aiya are u talking about me 144Tech? i thought i was supposed to cut the glue sticks too. But i made a video to revert that. In the end 1mm thick round disks under the buttons is the solution.

Smoked by the guide~~ But anw this guide is just a direct translation from 1up. =P unless you guys are game to remake this and make a better guide?

I think he was referring to the 1up guide :-) The glue stick option is a crap idea tbh! I'm having little disks 3D printed by a friend and will glue them inside the buttons.

Well that's kind off what i meant, with placing rubber material ontop of the rubber pads to make them a bit higher, i've used the rubber to repair bycycle tires  and yes, adding a piece of gluestick inside the ABXY buttons is really lame, such a piece of rubber i said would have done a much better job.
Oh and i was speaking to the topicstarter, but could also been a suggestion for others with unsensitive Dpad

I think for my next shipment I'll put custom cut 7mm acrylic pieces underneath the buttons. The thing is, I kind of feel that 3d printed spaces might not be good enough . because it has a rough surfaces... thats why i'm trying the acrylic. but if you guys find any other better solution do share it.

Just add some rubber under it, from bike-tire repair kit, anything would be fine, even gluestick it's just about bringing a bit more thickness ..
