Yeah I only have 'fake' ones left because the 'original' ones are so expensive and i broke 2x trying to solder to them (used way too thick wires) .. I thought the difference was visual/physical only, rather than electrical.. the 'original' is very nice! Albeit all mine broken ;)

I ordered both of them. If I have a board, I can test them. :D

I dont know if you need 5 or 6 contacts. I have such connectors for PSV joystick at home. I will look and tell you tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure you need six pins.
Yes, with pleasure. Send me a message about what you want for.
It is nothing special, that are some like this (with 0.5mm pitch):https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DIY-FPC ... 75627.html

Then what are the two extra pins for?

One the 'real' one, they have a total of 3x VCC wires, one for each chip on the ribbon.. on those ones they just put one and it must split off internally to the chips

Okay, that's too high for me. :D

Here are my two 4 pin models I ordered.

EDIT:
ahhh you mean 3 VCC wires (Voltage at the common collector), 1 GND and 1 up/down + 1 right/left?

Is that what you meant? I am not yet familiar with the expressions/abbreviations.

Does the 6 pin variant offer me some benefits? Can I use it with your board (Circuit Sword)?

Correct that is what I meant :) there is no benefit other than it is an 'older' original stick, I suspect on newer models they updated it slightly.

If you have an adapter, any should work.. it does need testing out as i've not seen people use it and i've had limited success.. i'm currently waiting on some new sticks to try!

Okl great, if you need some assistance, I have two here to test. I'm going to connect them for testing.
Are they connected to your board via the joystick connector provided?
