Arduino Micro - HID & Battery Monitor Help

Post by GordoPie » Sat Jan 02, 2021 10:54 am

Hey all! I'm trying to build a gameboy zero raspberry pi handheld and am trying to combine two different Arduino Pro Micro sketches which will allow me to turn the Arduino into a HID and use one of the analog pins to monitor battery levels in the handheld.

I'm basically trying to combine Tinkerboys awesome sketch which supports using the arduino as a HID with analog joysticks but lacks battery monitoring:

With this sketch by LotusAlex which supports HID game pad but not analog joysticks:

I'm not needing any of the redundant stuff for the HID gamepad portion, specifically I'm trying to integrate the battery monitoring portion that utilizes A0 in the second sketch with Tinkeryboys sketch.

When I attempt to cut and paste it into the first sketch I get nothing but errors, I feel like someone with any small amount of arduino programming knowledge would be able to do this easily but unfortunately I am very inexperienced and was hoping someone may be able to render assistance.

I genuinely appreciate any help you can give
