Circuit Sword Issues

Hey everyone! I was going through the “how to set up the circuit sword wiki” and got through step 10. But got stuck at the software portion (step 11). Can’t seem to get anything to show up on the screen.

Also the “CHRG” and “PG” LEDs aren’t illuminated anymore like they were previously. I pressed the MODE button (step 13) to see if anything would happen but nothing did (wondering if this caused the CHRG and PG to stop lighting up). Would definitely appreciate any help.
