Composite Screen Blurry

Post by hutch78uk » Thu Feb 03, 2022 10:23 am

Hi Everyone

I have just wired up my BW composite screen (variant 7 I think) to my Pi Zero but the picture seems to be very blurry -

I have wiired the screen up using a shielded rca cable as suggested here - viewtopic.php?f=44&t=2850, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Is there a problem with my wiring, or is this the best I can expect from this type of screen?

Thanks all :)

Not going to lie. The quality of the composite screens by default isn't that great.

Download a new theme. The one I always used was gbz35 by rxbrad. It's optimized for these little 3.5" screens.

To get new themes:

RetroPie Setup Script >> Configuration / Tools >> esthemes

Thanks Rodocop :)
I actually tried this before you replied, and by coincidence went for the same theme.

Verdict is that the improvement is slight but also effective.

Thanks again :)
