Hey guys, I'm wondering if someone building a GBZ with Kite's board has been able to fit the VECO 28mm speaker with Dextech's custom battery.

I did a quick search on the forums and this is what I found:

I read about that speaker and everyone seems to be happy with the quality, however since it needs some battery trimming due to the height of the speaker I don't know if I could be able to use one of Dex's batteries.

For now I'm gonna use the eBay 4000mah battery while I wait for the newer batch of Dex's batteries, so before glueing the speaker in place and trimming the battery bay I'd like to have other people's insights.

It is what I was thinking. The speaker takes the place of the battery bay and acts as the base for the battery so not an issue from what I can see in your picture

it fits fine as i have the componates in my build

altho you have to trim the battery comparment to fit the speaker, the speaker doesnt protrude into the battery bay

its tight but fit just fine

anyone know of a good place to get this speaker?

I got a couple because I ordered another for a friend but still, 10€ is a little pricey.

oh damn, i missed that... thought 10€ was a bit pricey, but 13... damn...
i think i'll just go with the original one for now...
