Advice on cutting a clear case

So I have ordered a clear case for my 1up build as think the internals need to be seen but does anyone have advice on cutting /removing plastic.
I have built a gba in the past with a clear case and when I removed some of the internal plastic it left white marks, does anyone know a decent way to remove it with little or now marks on the plastic?
Thanks

Exacto knife.. but yeah when plastic bends or breaks it turns into white, as far as i know there's only one remedy for that and that's after you break some stuff out or anything, hit it shortly with a (turbo)lighter from a distance, but that needs practice.. but it turns back to clear that's for sure..

yeah or take some black or transparent plastic from a tupperware, break it so it turns white, then hit it with a turbo lighter from a distance, and you see it turning back to original color, but you need to find the ideal point so not to melt it, kind off like when you breath onto glass lol..
hope you can get it all fine.

its going to be hit and miss with the clear cases...

even though i dont personally like the 1UP builds because they look so DIYd, i did however consider it as a posible build to do once...

the front doesnt require as much modding just button holes and screen, compared to the butchery the bad goes through
you could consider a two tone look.... clear for the front and maybe the back matching the colour of the buttons you might go for (just a thought) this will conceal alot of the modding done to the back and still have the front see throught

some of the other things i considered doing, if i was to do one

was to remove the ethernet port (never gonna be used, saves cutting the case and will look better)
also the same can be done with two of the usb port (one of the blocks)...
or remove both and replace with a single port...

just some suggerstions...

good luck

I'd highly recommend using a rotary tool and various sanding bits. Something along the lines of...
