Post by Gurvann » Thu Sep 21, 2017 8:20 am

Hello,

I have this version of the BW screen that is not listed on the wiki. Any idea how to convert it ?

Thanks :D

i soldered the red and black wires from an usb cable and plugged the usb to a 5v adapter (phone charger) but that didn't do anything :|

i tried this on the DC12+ground port AND also on the 5v+ground port you can see on the back o f the board

You will likely need to connect the av wire too. Even with power most of these screens will only turn on with a video input.

If that doesn't help, hopefully someone else can help out!

i tried this and it didn't work neither. Actually I just realized that it doesn't work even with a 12v adapter...

I tested with a multimeter, the tension is here but i can't turn the screen on.

Either it was faulty, either i damaged it.

Just one question, is that normal that some of the pins look like they've been soldered together on this part ?

not sure if that is normal, you could try passing a soldering iron over those, see if you can clean the solder up.
