Help with Pogo Pins and 4800mah battery (GBZ Kite SAIO)

Post by Mikethesith200 » Tue Oct 03, 2017 4:27 am

Hello all. I haven't been able to find a complete answer and I need some help with this. I wanted to use this battery
in my KITE GBZ build. I've seen a few builds with this setup, but none with Kites SAIO. I have no idea how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's just a 4800mAh battery for a Galaxy S2.

Installation is pretty straightforward. You basically just have to install one of these between the battery and the PCB: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5X-Logic-Board- ... xyeglTXeIm

Make a cable with a JST plug on one end, and a battery plug on the other end.

Fit the battery in the battery bay, measure and cut a hole for the battery plug, test fit to make sure the plug makes contact with the battery, then attach the battery plug to the shell.

Plug the JST end into Kite's SAIO. Install the battery in the battery bay.

That's it. The battery should have +/- marked, but it's worth testing with a multimiter to be sure - you don't want to blow out your AIO board.

Any battery alternatives anyone has found? I can only seem to find the 4800mAh "Extended"battery for a Galaxy S2 now since I'm late to the game. I'd like to try a pogo battery since I've seen a few lockups already. Once I get the battery in there I'll get stuck until the battery dies I imagine. Or does anyone know of a way to kill the power when the battery is charged and attached?

Galaxy nexus i515/l700 is a much better fit than the s2 battery and a bit bigger.
