FPC cable Breakout Board for PS Vita Joystick
Hi guys. Short question!
Does anyone know where I can get such a breakout board for an FPC cable:
to connect such a kind of joystick?
Shipping through Adafruit would cost me five times the price.
Has anyone tried that yet?
Thanks in advance.

Re: FPC cable Breakout Board for PS Vita Joystick
you wont be able to use a 4 Pin breakout connector, unless its designed/made for that joystick....
the ribbon cable is not a standard 4 pin, as the last pin (which might be GND) is slightly off set...
however you may be able to get away with using a 5 pin breakout, just make sure the pitch is correct

I dont know if you need 5 or 6 contacts. I have such connectors for PSV joystick at home. I will look and tell you tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure you need six pins.

Re:
I was experimenting with this, but waiting on the PCBs to arrive.. I initially tried on my build a joystick but it did not output very good signals.. perhaps it was a dud stick? But soldering to the FPC didn't work.. FYI those blue ones are plastic with graphene or something on them, they instantly melt you cannot solder to them
If this board is easy I may be able to get you some in the near future, but you'll have to wait a bit

Your next board needs a FPC-connector for PSV joysticks.

Or solder the 5pin connector : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10-Pcs-l ... 0498&tpp=1
on the 6pin board : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/5pcs-FFC ... d6eb&tpp=1
I think it's possible...

Is your board for the 6 pin joystick?
Let me know when you know any more.
sounds good to me.
thanks for the hint.
Whats the difference to the 4 pin joystick? precision?
Does this also come from the PS Vita?
Cheers!

there are two different ones. one oem and one "fake" oem. Maybe you have the "fake" oem?
