Hi all,

I'm working on making a pieced together GBZ and I would really appreciate some help!

1) I'm planning on using a rpi3B+ (USB's, GPIO pins and ethernet port removed) but as you can see, it doesn't fit perfectly where I want to put it.

my question is, can I trim the end of the rpi down to be level with the top of the shell without any issues (providing it's sanded properly and free from any shorts or bridges)?

2) I've searched high and low, but I can not find any guides on how to do a 5v mod on this screen board. can anyone help guide me?

3) I'm not particularly sure I have the right PSU for this project, I bought a few TP4056's and I'm curious if I can use it in this particular project or not?

Thank you everyone for your help! also please feel free to ridicule me for my novice level knowledge of this world of retro gaming. :D :D :D

Sometimes...

When you search high and low...
It’s also a good idea to search in the middle... ;)

For the PSU, get Helder Retro PSU
(Can be found in the for sale section)

Good luck with the build....

As for the screen, I just had that one, here is the mod. I've also added it to the wiki as bw variant 11

Oh and a tp4056 will only charge the battery, not boost it to 5v. That works if using a pi zero and spi screen, but a pi3 and that screen NEED 5v, and the pi3 is gonna need some more amperage than most cheap boosts provide. I suggest helders retro PSU for a pi3 like Veteran suggested!!

Thanks! I got a much more appropriate PSU and I'm gonna nab some retro psu's for future builds. Also thanks for helping with the screen! I had a small heart attack when I tried comparing my board to the ones on the wiki
