I have been using one of my GBZ's for the last year and recently a lot of SNES games have started lagging. I thought it might be my SD card so I flashed a fresh version of retropie and installed some games. Even on the fresh install I get a ton of lag on Super Mario World which used to play perfectly.
Does anyone have any idea on a solution? Should I try overclocking or using a different emulator?
I don't know why it used to work and now it doesn't. Any help is appreciated.

Re: SNES lagging on Pi ZeroW.
After extensive testing I believe what was causing my slowdown in SNES is the MintyComboScript I had running in the background.
Replaced with Mintybattermonitor and everything is running smooth.
