Shorted board with LCD backplate
Shorted board with LCD backplate
I’ve finally got around to building my super aio 0.6 and after testing my soldering by booting without lcd installed I then insllalled screen and left it sitting on the board. When I picked it up I squeezed the screen and board together and I’m pretty sure shorted something. The screen got white and now it will not display anything with attached lcd or hdmi out. How do i go about fixing this? I got it to display the pi logo once out of about 10 boots.
Re: Shorted board with LCD backplate
something simillar happen to me. could be the ribbon cables. they are finicky and sensible as helll they damaged super easy. once is damaged you need a new screen. try disconnecting and reconnecting ribbon cable. or putting preassure on it. see if anything is touching the backplate... does the logo comes on full color and brightness? also could be power issue too. post your answer if you get to solve this. oh and make sure you check all the connections to see if they are right and the soldering... i mixed the + and - on the usb breakout cable and it was messing the whole board.
