pi zero w performance

Post by KimDEa » Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:29 pm

hi all
i have a questions about pi zero w.
i have kite circuit sword lite.(not assembly yet) but i'm not sure pi zero w satisfy my gameplay.
i will play GB,GBA,GBC,MAME(sexy parodius),Megadrive,NES,SNES.
of cause i search a lot, but no one can't clear it up.
will pi zero w support those emulators? or i have to overclock or i have to buying circuit sword cm3

Pi zero W should play all those systems. The only thing I am unsure of is MAME, since I have never used it.

Some SNES/GBA games may lag a bit, (ie. Starfox is unplayable). But most of the ones I have played have been totally fine (even without an overclock).

MAME can be hit or miss. There are some stock overclock settings you should apply which will help all-round performance on all mentioned emulators. Disabling WiFi and Bluetooth also has an impact. Be sure to checkout the mintypi image for the overclock settings 👍🏻
