TinkerBOY DPI adapter question re: USB D+ and D-

Post by jacethepicobbler » Thu Jun 20, 2019 12:02 pm

The final instruction for the TinkerBOY DPI adapter is "solder the Pi Zero’s USB data pins (D+ and D-) to the 2 holes on the DPI Adapter."

Where are the D+ and D- pins on the Pi Zero? Aren't they the pads on the back covered up since the DPI adapter and Pi Zero are sandwiched together?

Are the "2 holes on the DPI adapter" the backwards-labeled D+/D- pads or somewhere else that I'm missing?

Thanks

yeah, those are the pads I mention are covered up and inaccessible with the sandwiching method.

now that i think about it, there are holes in the DPI adapter just under the the ribbon cable port that probably line up with the USB pads...should I be flowing some solder through those?

you're right, those are the pads you'll use. they Just seem to be unlabelled.
