Building my first Game Boy Zero

Post by Prim » Sun Dec 29, 2019 2:53 pm

Hello, everyone.
I've put this off for a while but I'm finally ready to start purchasing parts and begin tinkering. I have a list of parts I've dug up and would like to see if this is going to work okay and if I need anything additional. Any help is appreciated.

Here is the list thus far:
Game Boy DMG Shell
Cartridge Shell
3.2" SPI Display
Tactile caps for long stem buttons
Power supply 3.7 to 5v and charge board (banggood type)
ADS1015 board for setting up on screen battery monitor
Audio amplifier
Headphone jack
Gameboy speaker
2 channel audio potentiometer (and Digital option)
2ea. Tactile switch for optional push button audio control
2ea tactile switches for back/ shoulder buttons
Slide switch for power
Micro usb for either additional dock or power input.
Usb 2.0 female connector.
Rubber Gamepad contact with addition contact for x/y buttons
RGB LED 5mm, common anode(optional low battery light)
Simple breadboard to make your power strip, tactile button backing, and whatever you can come up with.
3.7v 4000mah Li-Ion battery that fits perfectly in the dmg battery compartment
Rainbow Ribbon wire is for control roughly one foot in length
22awg wire for power
Common Ground pcb
Pro micro (teensy clone)

This is everything on my list so far. If I need to change anything or add anything, please help me out! Also, what tools should I pick up for this build as well? I have a soldering kit, screwdriver, wire cutters, anything else that would be helpful?
