Safety Question - Batteries in Parallel

Post by Racerboy » Fri Aug 26, 2016 2:07 pm

Is it entirely safe to wire up 2 of these 3.7v 2500mAh LiPo Batteries together in parallel? (thus theoretically producing a single 5000mAh, 3.7v battery)

Basically wire both red and black leads to their respective spots on the Powerboost 1000c. I understand it will take longer to charge, but will it be safe to?

I've done this with two Samsung 2000mah batteries. They charge and work just fine. I follow some tutorials online. You just have to balance them so they have the same exact volt reading and then wire them together.
Red to red and black to black.
