Need audio help

Need to know what could be causing my audio to cut out, When playing games with higher tone audio it cuts in and out for example when collecting rings in any sonic game or a lot of the original Gameboy games.

Not sure if I used the wrong caps or resistors on the Gameboy Zero PWM Audio SMD by helder or if the amp I am using is no good.

Parts list:

Audio Filter:

10uF 16V SMD Ceramic multilayer 0805 MLCC Capacitor: http://r.ebay.com/Nn09P6
270ohm and 150ohm 0805 smd resisters: http://r.ebay.com/Msig7M
0.033 uF (33 nF) 0805 SMD Ceramic Capacitor: http://r.ebay.com/U7q3fk

Amp:

Mini Digital Power Amplifier Board 3W 5V Supply Audio 2 channels UK NEW (B28): http://r.ebay.com/WvmzXe

Turning the audio down in alsamixer works (except for collecting rings in any sonic game) but makes it very quiet (has to be bellow 45).

Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like either an issue with the PWM Circuit or maybe a broken amp/speaker?
Try a different speaker or hook up headphones to see if the problem is still present on those.

Tried a different speaker and headphones and still the same result :( will have to get me a new amp and see if that helps.
