Hello everyone I could really use some help I been trying to figure out how to convert this LCD board to 5V but I can't find an answer.
Here's the picture of the board itself

According to the wiki, you have a variant 7 screen.
You need to solder a wire from the areas I marked in red:



It could be that it still does NOT work after that. If that is the case, you actualy need to desolder that chip (the one with the marked pin) and solder a wire to the same marked area.

Cool, I used an RPi 3 in mine.

Can you report back if the conversion to 5V has suceeded?

I will once I open it up tomorrow thank you and nice I have a Rpi3 laying around but Opipc is cheaper and a bit faster.

Will you use it with Retropie? If yes, does that work out of the box?

Yes there is a huge community dedicated on porting Retropie on to the OPI and right now we have a stable release and it works perfectly right out of the box here's the facebook group for the RetroOrangePi

(Correct me if I am wrong), but as I am seeing correctly it is an old version of Retropie, right? Are there any versions that keep up with the latest release?

Right now RetroOrange pi version is 2.5 running on retropie 4.0 or 4.1 NOT 2.5
