PI 3 remove component with Cutting pliers

Post by Lololo » Thu Apr 27, 2017 2:35 am

Hello,

I managed to remove all the components with a cutting pliers.

It takes patience and it is not without risk (a capacitor is detached)

But I'm happy with the result :

Already did the same process on a Raspberry pi 2.. It's the easiest way for those who don't have proper soldering iron with sucker

Oh wow didn't know this thread existed, thanks for resurrecting it.

And yes, you can solder on the pp pads on the backside, they are still some available. Is it USB you want to connect? If so, then yes you can still connect it.
