Using BLACKBERRY keyboards for PI projects

Post by GIJ0 » Wed Jun 07, 2017 6:44 pm

hello all...
After seeing the amazing things that can be done with custom PCB's (Kites GBZ and Helders/Wermys Minty pi boards) , I finally wanted to tackle a problem that needed to be resolved.

The black berry keyboard is small, compact, and i believe perfect for potential hand held pi projects.
Is there a way we could...
a) Hijack the pins on an original board
b) create a custom connector to connect to the connection to the right of the board (Keyboard to blackberry motherboard)
c) using the original membrane sticker and copper tape to create a custom usb keyboard (hooked up to an arduino or something)
here are some reference photos and i look forward to collaborating ideas on a solution to this!
