Touch screen panel through SPI

Post by Kingyachan » Tue Oct 31, 2017 3:28 am

Hey all,

I'm pretty new around here, I just sent a good little while going over moosepr's guide on using ili9341 panels with the PI and it looked like it suited my need really well.

I was looking at panels and found this https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... d822jLJMjH

It mentions its a touch panel, I was wondering if there a way of using the touch input through the GPIO as well?

appreciate any help on this.

Thanks!

You can connect the touch from the display to the raspberry and install a driver on the raspberry.
BUT: A touch panel of this size is not very usable, and it is not supported by emulationstation, retropie or games.
