Wondering if connecting an sp ribbon cable to a pi 3 is possible

So about 30 minutes ago i took apart my gba sp as it was lying around and thought it would be neat to connect the screen to my pi 3 but i cant seem to find out how to get the ribbon cable into the pi's display port. :?

As awesome as it would be to use the GBA SP screen on a raspberry pi, it's currently not possible without serious modification. I've never seen one connected to a raspberry pi. Which sucks because it would be perfect for a ton of projects...
