Sound Question

Post by Sprockett » Sun May 08, 2016 6:49 pm

I've laid out the circuit for the PWM to Audio, where should I put the volume switch? In the middle or between the speaker and the audio amp?

Thanks

I believe it should be in the middle as the audio amp can probably only drive a few ohms. However, I could be wrong...

Because this thread has already been created I wanted to ask some questions as well. :P

I am pretty new with anything audio wiring related so sorry if my question seems simple, but I was trying to add audio to my pi0 and as I searched the forum I saw a post from wermy talking about the remaining videos he was creating and one of the topic that will be in one of his videos was going to be connecting the sound to the GPIO of the pi0. This is what I have my speaker connected to right now:

Am I missing a piece of hardware? Do I need a headphone jack to connect it to my pi0? Also, could I just not connect the digital amp to the pi0 directly? I do not know where to connect it to the pi0 either, I guess it would be one of the GPIO holes but not sure which one.
