Hi all,

But of a different question, but maybe someone here has an idea. I have a tetris cartridge with a battery built in. This is unlike most other cartridges which has the flat watch-type battery.

Any one here seen any one of there? I'm wondering if I can attach a new battery so it can save data?
It's catalogued here, but info is very basic.

I do not see any battery on your picture! There is the pcb with a hole in the middle and a potted piece which holds just your game rom inside it. There are solder pads for a small 10uF capacitor but was never soldered to it. I do not know what a capacitor is here disignated for. Storing game data would be not for long.

99.99% sure that the original Tetris did not save once turned off.

After some google search the original Tetris for sure did not have a save battery.

Hmm. It gets more a more mysterious than origianlly expected.

I'd assumed there was a battery in the blak bubble. Or like McGyver said maybe a capacitor or something.

What's weird though is the actual software has a hi-score section. Go figure!
