Emulator set up

Post by sandog » Wed Mar 27, 2019 6:41 am

So I have my sword up and going with rpi-4.4-rpi2_rpi3-wifi_CSO_CM3_20190131-213239.img. What do I need to get my emulators loaded and working? Can I use parts of another setup? I tried to do a search but couldnt find clear answer.

You need to add roms. Google for it or search the forum.

I'm at a similar stage with my original version of kite's aio.

However, I think the OP might be wanting to know what I am too.. and that is how do you actually get roms onto the device? What's got me confused is that when I put my sd card into my pc to transfer roms over I see no retropie folder?? Nor config, bios etc that I would normally expect to find? Could someone explain why this is?

that confuses me too.
There's a link in my signature that explains how to add ROMs to the mintyPi. The same premise applies to pretty much any RetroPie powered device though there may be small differences.

Thanks for that @LilTrublMakr that's an excellent guide.

Another way I use now is to type the ip address into a file explorer like this \\00.00.00.00 etc.

Yeah, that is one way to do it but that also assumes that all devices are on the same network, workgroup, samba is set up, and a few other things. Just easier to give the way that will work for most people.
