@Kilren
I did mine with a 750Ti and 3x 1080p monitors, but found it was just overkill, a waste of desk space. I'm even thinking of swapping out a 1600x900 for the 1080p on the left so I'd have a 1080p center, 1600x900 left, and 1280x800 right (detachable, it's own computer)

Nice. We have a few of the three screens running at the hospital in the imaging labs, but I personally like 2. I get lost with any more.joe7dust wrote:@Kilren

Gaming rig, home media server and GBZ work space. I need more room sometimes and I pull the keyboard and monitor off the right side. Woman's spot behind the desk

It's not this clean anymore. And it doesn't show the 4 other monitors on the right. I might be able to get a new pic tomorrow with all of them in there. 14 in all - horseshoe layout, audio equipment on the left, single keyboard and mouse straight ahead, electronics station on the right (on a rolling cabinet to hold soldering station, parts etc. )

Instead of those machines they currently use for immersive VR with the rolling surface to walk on in any direction, just have a ring or perhaps even a semi-sphere (hemi-sphere?) of displays that could even be curved themselves. Then the ring rotates and spins to simulate movement.
Re: Share your workspace!
Sounds more expensive than what VR currently does to be honest. More materials, more intensive shipping/handling, more complicated install, arguably inferior immersion, no portability, potentially more computing power needed to output to a larger display. :/ I think it would be really really impressive looking, just not very practical compared to the smaller units.joe7dust wrote: Instead of those machines they currently use for immersive VR with the rolling surface to walk on in any direction, just have a ring or perhaps even a semi-sphere (hemi-sphere?) of displays that could even be curved themselves.
