Safety wise. Major phone makers had batteries exploding so it's not like you can be sure 100%. Also. What is really a difference between buying an 100 bucks chinese handheld gaming console with emualtors compared to this?
Speaking about Europe here. Wouldn't take it to US probably

I think with all this terror incidents and the politicians going crazy and using this as an excuse to push through some new surveillance laws,
they might not be so glad about some electronics you built yourself. And you can clearly see that this is no original gameboy.
So there might be the one or other security guy who wants take a closer look.

But you didn't build it yourslef. You bought from a small company. And what are they going to do, open it? From the outside it's just an electronics device. And from the inside it's just chips and a battery with wires like every other device.

Nearly everyone who is not like 20 anymore knows the gameboy and that this is not the original gameboy case, so they see that it was tinkered with. Just saying, this could be a problem, so don't expect to just stroll through security with it.

Sure, you are going to be fine in the end, but it might cost you time, which should be considered when you want to be on time.

Eh, if you're going on a flight you want to be super early regardless of how much trouble TSA gives you. I don't expect to be arrested or miss a flight because i brought a handmade electronic into security, but i'm more carefree than others.

I think the main problem would be how it shows up on the x-ray, My brother was stopped on a flight back from Poland as he had a block of cheese too close to a phone charger, apparently it looked like a block of C4 and detonator, the GBZ's may be an issue with the random looking wiring inside the casing. I've never understood the "if you can turn it on a show it working" approach, since you could easily hide something else inside the case. I wen't to college with a guy who removed the drives from his laptop to use as storage compartments for various items

that's why I always put all my electronics in a seperate tray.

Maybe if you play on it while you wait in line it will help.

I'm flying to the US next month and have almost finished my GBZ, so I was going to take it with me. Do you think I will be allowed or is it not worth the risk :/
