Now that I have my GB Pi 2 in a playable state, I thought of things I should and should not do with it.

Do's:

1. Perform burn-in and performance tests. This is to check and observe how the components are holding up. Check for overheating and burn marks. I noticed the GB is warmer at the LCD area but not the battery area so I think it's within normal. I noticed however that the PowerBoost 1000C will report low battery level too soon.
2. Configure and test EmulationStation. This is both painful and the fun part which involves selecting the default emulator for each system and configuring the buttons. I find a 2-port USB hub connected through the external USB port with keyboard and wi-fi adapter attached very handy for this process. I had to reboot the system several times using Putty as games would just suddenly freeze as I test them. I'm also using WinSCP to transfer roms remotely from a laptop to the Pi.

Don'ts:

1. Don't leave the GB charging overnight unattended until you are sure your GBZ doesn't have any overheating issues especially with the battery charging which usually takes a long time.
2. Don't get your GB wet. I guess this is self-explanatory. There's only a handful of water-proof mobile phones and gadgets. The GB isn't one of them.
3. Don't let your GB hit the ground. Also self-explanatory. With the mods done to the case, structural integrity is compromised and for sure, the case and the custom brackets and posts will not be able to withstand any hard fall.
