The atmega chip itself works, I get ID from the programmer, but not the hub...

Any ideas?

Thanks
Thanos

The USB hub works now. I had to replace the IC as it gets damaged too easy if you connect wrong the D+ D- ...
Now I can work on the analog stick code. I plan to change the code to output both analog stick axis and D-pad in the same time so you can use either one, depending on the game.

Thanks

Can you show me wiring of your build? It sounds like you have a short or are draining too much power. I know it says USB from Pi on the board but you need to feed 5V and GND (can be from anywhere as long as it's all connected) from the power supply aka the powerboost.
Do Not power it off of the Pi as it can't handle it and will likely cause power loss issues.
I'll have to wait til I get home to show the wiring. But all power is coming from the power boost. Including power to the pi. the power to the USB port is coming from my power strip which is getting power from the ppwerboost. And I know it's working because the screen and pi turn on. I take nothing from the pi except d+ and d-. I had to take 5v and ground and attach to another USB port before the Atmega turned on, which I thought was strange as the main connector is definitely getting power.

@Helder Aye man, I understand your hard work and I sincerely think your board is a piece of art. I have no intention of making my own board i just want to see how you did it.
What program did you use?
Btw have you had any trouble sending a board to Argentina, cause recently the "Arg Customs" have presented a new law o something so that we can receive imported stuff but Im not very sure, cause here they say one thing and they do another, you get me? I want to get your board but I dont want to waste your time nor mine if im going to have trouble receiving it.
Cheers

I use EagleCAD and I have linked some videos I used to learn it here on the forums. I have sent a few things to Argentina and one of the Red boards maybe 2 weeks ago so I'm assuming it got there since I haven't heard anything and maybe the person who bought that board will see this and chime in on his experiences.

This PCB looks fantastic. I'm gearing up to start a GBZ build and will be keeping my eye on this thread. I'd like to eventually pre-order one in a future batch.

I would love to have one of these boards. I plan on building one in an empty case and Have none of the original GB electronics.

Anyone has suggestion for the potentiometer we can use for the amplifier. I know it's 5pin but how much kiloOhm? Is 10k enough?

Thanks

hey,

I got these from amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013FP ... UTF8&psc=1

But not sure how the pins work, like the ones from radio shack or off the gameboy motherboard.

I think I heard Helder say that a 1k would probably be better. I managed to desolder and cut away the volume wheel from the Game boy's circuit board so Ill probably try that first. If it doesn't work, I found this on Amazon.
