Hey @Helder I know this may sound silly but I'm wondering what's the point if the usb hub in the gb0 project? I'd like to have one if nessisary but there are so many options and size. Would it be possible to build one like you did for your "Helder pcb" but a usb hub pcb so it's small and compact?

The hub is for having less things in the case and make things as compact as possible, currently troubleshooting the usb hub part of the board. These things never go as they should! I planned to make a small pcb to do the same thing as something separate but not until it's working.

The arduino replaces the teensy so this board is more for people building a GBZ that don't have the 3-4 parts this board covers.

You have to either have a usb hub that can power on a wifi if you do not solder on for the gb0 so you can connect retropie to wireless. The Pi0 only has connections for 1 usb data input, so if you want wireless and a keyboard to connect to wifi, u need a hub soldered into your project.

Thanks for the info there's a company in Europe called yoctopuce and they make a very small micro usb hub the size of a usb plug about 20mm x 40mm but it's 27usd plus shipping. But if Helder gets his hub pcb rocking I'd much rather buy Helders

Just FYI, I had to GND the POT connection to the AUDIO OUTPUT GND or I got extreme static through speaker and headphones, plus the POT didnt really do anything until I grounded it.

I have a board I'm testing this weekend with USB Hub, Arduino, audio filter and amplifier plus the drill template. Can't get anymore complete than that.

Look incredible.
But could it be possible to make it a bit longer and attach the audio jack on it? :)

I can't find a good headphone socket that will work with an extended board, by good I mean low profile or people will have to open the headphone hole up to use what I have.

Can't the original piece be reused?

Possibly but what would be the reason to do that when you can use the original already in the system? If I design something I want it to be something that doesn't rely on the original parts since not everyone has them, like for example most people just buy the shell and that headphone doesn't come with it.

If you can find a similar size Gameboy Color/ Pocket headphone jack somewhere I can do it but I've looked and can't find one that I can use and find affordably for me or anyone who wants to buy their own.

I do have one that seems to work but the hole is slightly off to the side though but it will work, I might look into that if more than one person is interested in that feature.
