rev a is tempting, but I'm holding out for rev b. Do you expect it will be available soon? Thanks.kitsch-bent wrote: rev. b (kk_gb_zero_b) will be arriving in the next day or two which has the socket along the edge to use with shells which have a slot cut out in them
should be arriving on monday, if FedEx is delivering regularly then (its a holiday monday here), and if not then, on tuesday. ready to go, otherwise! i don't do pre-orders as there is always the unforeseen thing to happen, and learned from past efforts. hiccups can pop up any time, so prefer to have stuff in-hand. they are on the way thoughtanooki wrote:rev a is tempting, but I'm holding out for rev b. the pinout diagram is the last pic. it hooks up in the same manner as wermys guide, if not the same pinout, but thats not too hard to change. you'll find the solder connections are easily accessible with this and placed in way to be easy to solder to. just follow the pinout diagram and match it to the connections for the sd card itself.scbailey94 wrote:Hi, just about to order one of these but have a couple of questions. Does this work the same as wermys guide but I won't have to do any soldering? Also can you recommend any LOCA glue as I was going to order 2 front light kits for the GBC? Thanks @kitsch-bent
Ordered! :] Thank you~kitsch-bent wrote:the rev.b boards arrived yesterday, finally had time to take some photos and test one today. so, up in the shop now, for your perusal...

Good question... if it is already attached I definitely applaud this seller for making it easy on us. I feel like adafruit is pretty slimy when it comes to that, they have a board that is required to get one of their displays connected (sold separately) and in the 3rd photo of it they show it with the proper ribbon cable connector attached. After asking to clarify they tell me it doesn't come attached. Who in the heck wants to solder 50 pins that are 0.5mm apart?! Pretty sure over half the buyers of that item ended up not even getting to use it.Jack wrote:I have an old cartridge at home...if I order pcb only will I only need to cut out a little piece of my cartridge and plug in a a micro SD card to make it work?
In other words: will the little metal piece to plug the SD in be on it or do I still need to solder?
