I just booted everything up for the first time on my circuit sword. I was able to boot into emulation station, the screen faded to white after a few second and now there's no longer video displaying. The backlight does come on though.
I am using the custom retropi image from the github for the circuit sword. I've attempted to reseat the screen connector. I've used several SD cards. It appears to be booting because after a time, the graceful shutdown from turning the switch off will turn the unit off. I don't have a mini-hdmi adapter to test video out.
I didn't manhandle anything or pull on the ribbon cable and everything was done on an ESD mat and the LCD bottom and wifi module was covered in kapton tape.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running it with a battery connected?

At the time it faded out, yes. I've tried it both ways afterwards with the same result.

Have you tried updating the Arduino code?
Can you measure the voltage here (next to the arduino chip) when the screen is WORKING and also when it then fades white. Also can you show a closeup picture of this area?

Re: LCD Issue on CSO
I just went through and updated the arduino. No luck with that.
It booted once into emultation station, faded white and the screen hasn't displayed anything since. Just the backlight turns when I turn the device on. I'm getting 3.3V between that pad and ground. Also, here's the requested picture.

Re: LCD Issue on CSO
Hm, might be best to send me an email and send it back as I don't know what the issue is. It sounds like the Pi is freezing or crashing perhaps.. the LCD seems ok and that pin is the reset pin and it's still 3.3v which is good.. If you're running it with a battery, and a freshly imaged SD card.. and still doing it, then send me a mail and we'll sort out a return!
