Hello everybody,
since my build with the pizero went good, i gained for more power and startet to build one GBZ with the pi3.
But i dont get the pi connected to the SAIO.
When the (trimmed) pi is connected by usb get a FAIL for all the connections... see attached pics.
I even tried it with another pi3, same result.
I also noticed that the LED from the USBHUB ist not illuminating, any idea for a further troubleshooting here?
thanks and kind regards
Alex

Try soldering to the USB pads on the Pi that are closer to the inside, rather than those ones on the edge

thanks for your reply.
i did, no success. but even with the other RPi3 the same results, therefore i suspect something wrong with the SAIO, or what do you think?
What about the led of the USBhub? Is it supposed to illuminate even when there is nothing connected?

it only lights up when a USB HOST connection is made. Do you have a spare USB cable you can cut up and solder to the adapter? So that you can plug it in to a Pi that hasn't been cut up? You could solder a female USB port to the Pi3 to make sure a USB keyboard works first

Hey Giles, sorry my bad...
unfortunately is didnt short the "PWR" jumpers on the top of the board, as i thought it isnt needed when running the tester mode.
A friend of mine (whos way more into the project than me) gave me this hint. So everything works fine now. I'll keep on building
Many thanks anyway for your great support!
