CS1.2 - LCD All White

I've only just had a chance to start assembling, and I've come across a display issue. Im not sure if this is a hardware, or potential software issue.

LCD has only just came out of packaging for the first time today, connected everything up to test out "First boot" after doing the basic power check.

When powering up for the first time, I was presented with a white only LCD panel - I had assumed this was just a default behaviour whilst the image expanded, so left if for a while before I was concerned.

All lights seem to show the correct connectivity, and when plugged in over HDMI, the correct content is shown on tv

I checked ribbon connection but subsequent boots were still white screen (black with backlight for ~0.5 second before going white).

I made sure there was kapton tape over wifi module before I powered on, and also tried booting with wifi module off in config.txt incase there was a short there. Screen was still white on/off battery and with a freshly re-imaged on multiple SD cards.

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping i've just missed something tiny and that there isn't a hardware issue.

As per the similar thread I found (https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic ... 406#p57558 ) the pin above r39 registers 3.25v when white LCD is shown - don't have a working state to compare to.

Can you get a picture of the back of the LCD connector, similar to that prev thread. It's the back of the connector, and at the top of it (not the base where the connector meets the PCB)

Thanks for the quick reply, and for the links. Unfortunately I seem to have the same issue.

There was a small ball of solder bridging pins 35/36 on the top of the LCD mount that I was able to flick off with an exacto.
But the bridging on 32/33/34 seems like it's almost behind the pins. (As per attachment)

If you need a better photo, I can get out a "real" camera tomorrow.

I can try giving it a little heat but I'm cautious of my accuracy at that small size.

Ah hah the culprit..

What I suggest is to use a nice sharp knife, and try and cut it between the pins.. if it works, great!! If it doesn't, email me and I'll replace the connector (even if you sent it to me as is, I would still replace the whole connector, so it's worth giving it a go, nothing to lose!)

It's probably not going to work, as that looks pretty well soldered on there.. if you'd rather not risk damaging the board in the process, send me a mail anyway and i'll just go ahead and replace it

Thanks alot, I was scared that if I attacked it a little more i'd mess up the connector, but if you are able to replace it I might as well give it a go (carefully not damaging the rest of board) and if I still can't get enough of the solder removed, I'll send you an email.
