Screen is displaying wrong colors

thanks for this post I didnt even realise i had the same issue I double checked and true enough theres maybe 4or5 pins connected im amazed it worked at all.. cleaned them as far as i can tell( without a microscope).. the colours are still funny maybe u havent got rid of the mall ? or is it another issue?

Can you post a picture of the tester mode colour bar things? or anywhere you think it's wrong?

cheers kite for reply.. i just broke my 640 screen the ribbon is just so weak and i was being pretty gentle but tight fit etc ... i thought it would withstand a tug or two oh well i still have the 240x default screen(removed the 640 brighter solder blob and commented out the config text back to 320 )to try so im putting that on now... and same thing funny colours flickering (ill get the pics now).,.. whilst its strange looking the rest of system seems A OK wifi on games running sound is good fan kicking in when needing so i hope i havent broken it further with my monkey fingers ! i will try the test thing i have to read about how to do it ... ps i tried removing the solder like in the video -maybe not enough or /i missed one i will have to try again now

Could you get a clear in focus picture of the back of the LCD connector, using a bright light or something.. and also which part of the LCD got broken? It is possible I can replace it

... the colours were worse and worse no matter what i tried.. a slip here and there and its over.lol im done with gameboy mods for now lol no time/money to repair

kite you can use it for parts to fix other customers dead boards perhaps?>

pm here or on @pixelpiklz twitter cheers and ill send you the parts back if you like to have them not sure about lcd it might still work the board boots the cm3 ok as far as i can tell ..if it helps others whislt the preorder is down etc.. im happy to donate it back..

Err what happened here!? Did you try and remove the LCD connector? I can use other parts to repair other things and can fairly economically replace for you if it's returned as you won't need the CM3 or all the other bits.. if you want to take me up on that, send me a email and we can discuss arrangements.. if you email me sooner rather than later, just to get an idea of what it would take.. and from then on there would be no time pressures so only when you were ready would we continue
