I followed the advice of the stickied post at the top of the forum regarding wifi by sygyzy. I pasted his updated wpa_supplicant.conf suggestions and it does not remedy my current issue. Right now the only way I can get wifi to work is if I drop out of emulation station into a console terminal and perform this command:
sudo rfkill unblock all
This will allow me to connect to my wifi, but the problem is that this does not persist through shutdown. After turning it back on, I have to repeat the process all over again instead of my circuit sword automatically connecting in to my wifi. I am currently using the latest release of retropie for circuit sword and I have run the update.sh script. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wifi will not stay connected on CircuitSword
Please disregard, I did not realize that my mode button was defaulted to audio and wifi both off. Re-enabling them from the mode hotkey seems to have solved my issues.
