I'm having an issue where there is no power to the LCD and I get no activity from the Pi itself (and no power to it either).
I believe I have got the Pi soldered to the Gem properly (tested all of the pads and I have connectivity with them all).
Things I've checked so far:
1. Getting power to the board itself (and confirming battery charge indicator comes on):

2. Turning on the board (PON comes on but don't get PGOOD or any lights on the Pi itself)

3. Turning on the board with the LCD plugged in (no power to the LCD that I can observe)

4. Turning on the board with only the battery connected (I get fast blinking from the PON indicator)

At this point it seems like barring a bad board I either:
A. Fried the Pi while stripping down the ports
B. Have a bridged connection from the Gem to the Pi (not sure how to verify this)
Any ideas on how to track down why the Pi isn't getting power?
Thanks in advance!
Brian

Re: Circuit Gem: No power to Pi or LCD
Yep so from the sounds of it there is a short between GND and VCC. You could do to remove solder where possible on the VCC pins.. i'd try heating them up a lot and use a solder sucker.. keep trying until there is no short.
The short is likely underneath where not visible.. so re-heating, using flux, and generally trying to remove the solder (not the pi, because it's impossible to remove the pi without a heat gun and some skill)

Re: Circuit Gem: No power to Pi or LCD
Just a quick update, I wound up removing the Pi from the Gem and replacing it with a new Pi and everything is working:
